Camera System Requirements

Yes, our solution connects to your existing CCTV camera system, there is no new camera required. The Glimpse Edge device gets connected to the DVR/NVR of your CCTV camera system to processed the video feed at your store.
Our solution is compatible with lower quality surveillance camera i.e, any camera above 1 Mega Pixel(1MP). Most camera systems are above 1MP, and hence our system works with most of them. We have never asked any of our customers to upgrade their cameras for this purpose. We support both IP and non IP cameras.
We support all types of major CCTV camera brands, as we support all surveillance camera protocols. There is no requirement for any specific type of CCTV camera or DVR/NVR system needed to deploy our solution. There are common protocols used by every major CCTV camera manufacturers and we support all those protocols. We support both IP and non IP cameras.

Bandwidth, Network, Security

No, none of your video feed goes outside of your premises. Our edge device processes all the video feed in your premises itself. Once our AI algorithm processes the video feed, only binary numbers are uploaded over to our servers which indicates location of the person detected in video feed.
As none of the video feed is uploaded, and only binary data points are uploaded, the network bandwidth usage is very less. Our normal bandwidth usage is around 3kb/sec(Kilobytes) for each camera.
The video feed is not stored anywhere, neither on the edge device, nor on the cloud. It is processed in realtime & deleted on the edge at the location itself.
The Glimpse Architecture ensures multiple security steps to meet the core security and compliance requirements of our customers. All communication happens using the SSL - HTTPS protocol & is 100% encrypted. We use OAuth protocol for authorisation, sessions & access management. Access can be provided per module to each user. All data stored is AES-256 encrypted in the database.


Operations & Deployment

It takes 2-3 days to ship the device to your store, once shipped, it takes 5 minutes to setup in the store. The rest of the configuration occurs remotely which takes another 1-2 days. Adding up to a total of 5-6 days to go live.

Our support team is constantly connected to the devices and monitoring them. Glimpse Analytics owns the device and is to be returned at the end of the duration. All repairs and damages will be covered by Glimpse Analytics, except physical damages.
